Established five years ago, one division of the business supplies a broad range of toolboxes, canopies, and toolbox accessories, predominantly fitted to utility vehicles used by tradespeople.
The owners have invested heavily in an online marketing strategy and consistently achieved double-digit, year-on-year growth. In doing so, the company has built a small, but loyal and growing base of larger commercial customers.
About the Role:
You will take ownership of growing the commercial customer base and work closely with the General Manager in developing a business plan to grow that market.
You will have account management responsibility for existing customers, but your strong focus will be on identifying, pursuing and securing new customers and building long-term relationships with them.
In doing so, you will engage with a broad range of potential markets, including commercial vehicle dealers, automotive after-market retailers, local councils, the mining and gas sectors, energy and water utilities, and trades-based contractors.
You are a new business developer (a hunter) with a proven track record of B2B sales success.
While specific industry experience is not a prerequisite, experience of both selling through re-sellers and direct to end-users will be well-regarded, as will a background in selling into larger, more sophisticated purchasers.
Although a self-starter and comfortable working autonomously, you are no lone wolf and understand the importance of developing and maintaining strong relationships internally.
