About the role
This role covers all aspects of general finance and office administration. Reporting to the General Manager Commercial, you will have close interaction with the Managing Director and Quarry Manager.
This role will be for an initial 9-month term and ideally commence in August to allow for a 2-month handover period.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the full end-to-end monthly reporting process, including expense review, accruals, fixed asset register maintenance, prepayments, and other EOM journals.
Preparing and lodging Monthly BASs
Oversight and management of the Accounts Payable function including processing invoices using Receipt Bank
Managing all payroll processing and compliance requirements including Superannuation and Workcover
Supporting operations with scheduling of orders, deliveries and query resolutions
Managing incoming calls and customer service inquiries
Maintaining health and safety, environment and quality compliance requirements
Supporting strategic projects including marketing, tenders and grant submissions
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
Bookkeeping qualifications &/or Bachelors degree, or working towards.
High level of competency in Xero and Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Strong sense of accountability and willingness to take ownership of your deliverables
Ability to partner with people internally and externally to achieve great things together
Demonstrated initiative and track record of delivering high quality outcomes
