What your day will look like

  • Create concept sketches for new products and designs
  • Create block models and diagrams from new products and designs
  • Work with product managers to develop 3D models of concepts
  • Make recommendations for ergonomics and safe use cases
  • Create rendering and documents for presentation
  • Print any parts required for new concepts/design/products
  • Design and assemble products for manufacturing
  • As requested, responsibility for projects and sub projects regarding design and production of devices
  • Ensure all projects are completed within allocated timeframes to a very high quality and functionality 
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to create concepts, presentation material, and solve any production issues

What you need

  • Bachelor in Product/Industrial Design or related field
  • Three years experience in industrial design working with plastic and silicone injection molding
  • Advanced skills across Adobe Creative Suite, Photoview 360 and Solidworks
  • Experience working across the entire design process from research and design to manufacturing
  • Strong time management skills
  • Great written, spoken and interpersonal communication
  • Knowledge of PCBs and PCAs

Non-technical attributes

  • Good understanding of the Chinese sourcing and material market
  • A strong ability to deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast paced and fluid environment
