Here at KOJA, we're a small but fast growing Melbourne based company. Founded in 2014 by Kate Johansson after finding it increasingly difficult to find a product on the market that was free from excess sugar, and not packed full of preservatives and artificial ingredients. Appearing on Shark Tank in 2015, when the company was in its infancy, KOJA has since expanded its product range and distribution with our core range of Natural Protein Bars available in Coles stores nationally.

About the role

 

We're looking for a full-time Business Development Manager, (although part-time applications can be considered) to report directly to the Managing Director. The role will be primarily based in our office in Highett, with remote working a possibility. Minimal local and interstate travel required to meet the needs of potential and new customers. The role will have a dual focus on sales / business development and marketing.

Sales Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and manage new customer leads through phone, email and face to face opportunities
  • Maintain customer details in the CRM
  • Manage incoming leads and convert to new KOJA accounts
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Assist our Account Manager with ongoing customer needs and maintenance of existing wholesale stockists, as required 
  • Meet deadlines and achieve agreed KPIs including sales targets, reporting and other deliverables
  • Create and deliver customer presentations

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Managing Director to develop, refine and implement broader digital marketing strategies and explore new sales and marketing initiatives and ideas.
  • Work collaboratively with our Marketing and PR Agencies
  • Execute our Marketing Strategy across Digital Advertising, Brand Partners, Social Media etc
  • Coordinate and direct consultants regarding content creation, photography and graphic design
  • Prepare Monthly Marketing Reports
  • Minor maintenance of the KOJA website
  • Manage fortnightly KOJA EDM's
  • Review customer engagement and retention strategies

Skills and experience

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in a similar role, experience in FMCG industry or health industry essential
  • Experience in a business that prioritises digital marketing and social media.
  • Experience with Shopify and Mail Chimp desirable
  • A valid driver's licence and transport is essential
  • Highly self motivated, independent and innovative
  • A natural collaborator you love working in and contributing to team outcomes
  • A passion for healthy living and healthy food
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Capable of managing customer's issues in an appropriate manner
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
