We are seeking a very experienced housing construction Foreman/Supervisor who has a solid reputation for delivery of significant bespoke luxury home construction and renovation projects. As the Site Foreman/ Supervisor, you will initially be responsible for the construction of a high end Architectural homes and special projects.
Your project management (including budgets) skills must be exceptional as must your people management skills. This role is critical to our continued success and as safety is a key focus, you must also have demonstrated past success in managing and assessing any potential safety hazards on site and eliminating them. You will be accountable for program works to ensure subcontractors and suppliers perform in accordance with the building program and in accordance with current building standards and to our very high Company standards. This is not a one-dimensional role and you may be required to supervise multiple jobs at any one time and the number will vary subject to contract value and the complexity of each job and location(s).
Specifically, you will build within the scope of works, (if requested for outside, a variation must be issued for approval), co-ordinate building works with all other trades as required; set out building works as required to ensure all works are built in accordance with construction plans; understand the project budget and scope of works of Builder and Trades, provide minor take off of materials from site as required and forward to the office for ordering, or from site; order some materials from site where an accurate take off cannot be established from the office or plans; ensure carpenter/apprentices are doing the correct work to an acceptable standard and ensure a productive team environment is maintained by actively resolving any issues or problems. You will have a positive attitude, exceptional verbal and written communications skills and a thorough knowledge of Australian employment law, rules and regulations.
You must have an eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build and manage relationships with all our stakeholders. It is essential you have the relevant qualifications to fulfill the requirements of this role.
