Infravision is a CASA certified technology company specialising in developing innovative unmanned aircraft and robotic solutions for a range of industrial applications in the energy and mining sectors.
Our operation is expanding and we are seeking a Mechatronic Engineer to join our growing team of ex-defence force aviators, UAS operators, operations planners, engineers and industry experts.
In this diverse position, you will have a lead role in product development from concept to commercialisation and will be focused on developing and integrating mechatronic systems and software with Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems.
We would like to hear from you if you can:
Design, develop, and enhance electromechanical systems and control software utilising artificial intelligence and machine learning to progress Infravision proprietary products to market
Develop PLC code to interface with hardware architecture over a variety of communications interfaces
Perform analysis & research to seek opportunities.
Optimise designs with the appropriate analytical and physical assessments
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Ensure integration of design by developing, testing and analysing results to improve our products
Problem-solve and diagnose issues as part of the commissioning phase of product development
To be successful in this role, you require:
A drive to succeed in a challenging and dynamic environment
A willingness to work in remote industrial sites and test locations when required
An innovative mindset and willingness to work to solve technological problems in unmanned aviation, mechatronics / robotics, and software development
The ability to work accurately, unsupervised and prioritise work as required
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Essential Qualifications and Skills.
BSc in Mechatronics Engineering or similar with 2+ years experience
Demonstrated experience in PLC, C/C++, and other programming languages
Knowledge of best practice in Systems Engineering
Strong mathematical, analytical and creative thinking skills.
Self-starter with a passion for Engineering
Ability to work in a team or alone in a fast-past environment
Strong prioritisation skills required to balance parallel projects effectively
Competent application of computer software MS Office, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Project and equivalent G-Suite
Current Class C Driver License
General construction induction card
CASA RePL < 25kg MTOW (Multirotor)
RF systems experience
5+ years Engineering, robotics, avionics, software development experience
Masters in Mechatronics Engineering
Experience in leading teams
