Administration Officer

All round administration and customer service role, Salary packaging, 5 days extra leave and more, Kalgoorlie based.

  • Salary: $66,872.20 - $71,218.88 per annum pro rata plus super & salary packaging, and other exciting incentives. 
  • Location: Kalgoorlie
  • Type: Part time. Working days will comprise of 5 hour periods - 36 hours per fortnight. Working across Centrecare Kalgoorlie (during opening hours) and the Womens Clinic (after hours and Saturdays) the working hours are as follows:
    • Tuesday 2:15pm 7:15 pm
    • Wednesday 2:15pm  7:15 pm
    • Thursday 2:15pm 7:15 pm
    • Saturday 9:00 am 12:00 pm
  • Contract: Fixed Term to 30 June 2021

Goldfields Mental Health Portal 

Covering the Goldfields region this position will coordinate the overall administrative functions that contribute to the effective operational delivery of place-based low intensity support and psychological interventions to clients of the Goldfields Mental Health Portal.

Working within the WA Primary Health Alliance Stepped Care approach, the Administration Officer will work closely with the Team Leader to ensure all administrative requirements of the Goldfields Mental Health Portal are carried out efficiently and effectively.

In addition, this position will contribute to the provision of accessible, responsive, high-quality and integrated community mental health services ranging from whole of population needs for mental health promotion and prevention, through to severe, persistent and complex conditions.

A Few Specifics 

  • Liaise with GPs, Psychiatrists, Clinical Mental health Practitioners and external agencies to receive all client referrals and coordinate client booking duties.
  • Perform reception duties, conduct initial intakes and make appointments for clients.
  • Support the Team Leader, Case Coordinators. Counsellors and Case Workers through triaging prospective clients.
  • Respond to staff enquiries and provide basic technical support.
  • Provide typing and photocopying services when required.
  • Take minutes at meetings as required by the Manager.
  • Assist the Manager and staff with the Quality Assurance requirements for the service.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience of working within a Community Services environment
  • A minimum of 12 months administrative experience
  • Ability to handle client enquiries, establish rapport, gaining understanding of client circumstances and determining the suitability of our services to their needs
  • Experience and/or understanding of working with remote Aboriginal communities and their unique needs
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative, reliability and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and network with a range of stakeholders.
  • Computer literate with the ability to work with a range of databases
