What does the role involve

Ideally based in Wagga, the Delivery Manager will lead and coach a team of people across the Riverina and Murray catchment. This role will be responsible for ensuring the successful management of the Delivery Operations in order to achieve a high quality, reliable, efficient and cost effective delivery service. Day to day will see you:

  • Lead, direct and control all processing/delivery and support activities to ensure service standards, operational and performance objectives are met
  • Lead by example to motivate staff to work as one team encompassing the enterprise values and develop a “customer first” service culture
  • Manage Safety and WH&S and continuously seek to reduce costs and improve service performance
  • Facilitating change and innovation within the workplace, including implementation and monitoring of processes and systems
  • Demonstrate your commercial acumen by identifying specific cost savings and process improvements / benefits in line with our Corporate plans

What experience will you have

We’re looking for candidates that have the demonstrated energy and drive to bring out the best in the people under their leadership and deliver on an exceptional quality of customer service. We would like a ‘hands on’ leader who is out there and present with their team. In terms of your experience, ideally you will have:

  • Operational leadership experience in a large complex organisation structure where quick decision making and cultural change initiatives are required
  • Experience in planning and delivering organisational change in the context of complex transformational change
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in P&L
  • Experience in liaising with Transport Workers union and dealing with stakeholders
