An exciting opportunity exists for a mid-weight Graphic Designer to join our Marketing & Corporate Communications team based at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role will use your graphic design, customer relations and organisational expertise to plan, manage and deliver graphic design support for AHCL from concept through to pre-press as required.
Engaging with a wide variety of clients, your work will incorporate both print and digital formats across a broad range of tasks from publications, advertising and promotions collateral through to information booklets, branding, signage, and event support.
As the organisations sole Graphic Designer, you have a strong understanding of the full design process including the print production process. You are positive, hardworking, self-reliant and creative. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are able to meet deadlines handling multiple tasks at one time. You are comfortable working independently, but also work well within a team. Your flexibility, attention to detail, time management, prioritisation and communication skills are keys to your success.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
- Formal qualifications in Graphic Design
- 5 years experience in a studio environment or a similar role
- Highly proficient in the full Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator and Acrobat within a Macintosh environment
- Communication and time management skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic photography skills
- Previous experience working as graphic designer responsible for projects from concept through to print / publication
- Experience with preparing graphics and photos for digital platforms including web, HTML, EDM and social media
- Experience in illustration
