We are a part of the Fraser Engineering Group, which is based in Lower Hutt, New Zealand and has been established in Adelaide, Australia since 2018. The Role

We are looking to increase our production capabilities in our Adelaide facility and as such are looking to hire a Mechanical Fitter. As a member of our production team, you will:

  • Work on different types of fire appliances for local and out of state firefighting agencies
  • Be responsible for wiring up, mechanical fitting, and repairing of fire appliances
  • Carry out quality control inspections on completed jobs
  • Customer service both face to face and on the phone where required
  • Open and close of the workshop most days
  • Assist with moving vehicles around the workshop as well as to and from external contractors
  • Ensure machinery and work areas are maintained to our internal standards
  • Display commitment to Fraser Engineerings quality procedures
  • Adhere to Fraser Engineerings health and safety system

Skills & Experience

To join our team, you will have the following skills/attributes:

  • Previous experience in an automotive/production-based industry
  • Ability to successfully work in  a small team
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • Possess your own tools and toolbox
  • Be mechanically minded with good technical skills
  • A clean drivers licence
  • The ability to read and understand engineering drawings and wiring schematics
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for manufacturing with an uncompromising demand for change and success
  • To show commitment to our company values of integrity, teamwork and excellence



  • Trade level qualification in Automotive preferably Heavy vehicle/machinery
  • Forklift Licence
  • MR or above Truck license
