Generous remuneration package. Salary from $110,745 - $122,038 plus super
Our Water Group is currently seeking two Senior Water Strategy Officers to join their Regional Water Strategies team.
As a Senior Water Strategy Officer you will provide informed strategic planning and policy advice and coordinate a range of complex analytic and research activities to develop and implement water strategies across regional NSW. You will be responsible for the developing strategic options, policies and plans, as well as preparing advice in the form of briefs, discussion papers and reports on key water strategy issues. You will also conduct consultations with stakeholders and develop cross-sector partnerships to support the development and implementation of the regional water strategies.
This is a key role that contributes to the delivery of the NSW Government’s regional water strategies, which align to the State’s water sector strategic planning priorities, water reform agenda and legislation.

About You To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Extensive experience in a water or natural resource management area such as strategic water planning, policy, water management, water or environmental science, engineering, or natural resource management
Strong understanding, or an ability to quickly acquire familiarity with water management practices and methods to develop, assess and prioritise water security solutions including infrastructure, hydrological analysis and water policy and planning
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage your own workload and balance competing demands and priorities
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and a commitment to working as part of a high performing team
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
