Senior Account Manager - Banking and Finance Focus

Our client is a US owned global Information and Data Solutions Company. They now have an opportunity for an experienced Account Director to join their team. Day to day, your role will be fairly autonomous, managing existing accounts in the banking and finance sector. Reporting into the National Sales Manager based in Sydney, you will be a self-starter with a passion for account management.
Setting the corporate strategy for your assigned clients in order to attain and exceed revenue targets
Negotiating major deals within policy guidelines, maintaining contact with key clients and identifying and steering opportunities for business improvement
Providing leadership and strategic direction to your banking and finance clients and aligning with a broader business plan
Regularly monitoring and reporting actual performance to budget, with variance analyses and revised projections
Coordinating the gathering of market intelligence and monitoring competitors’ sales strategies and products, campaigns and events to optimise market share
Conducting product demonstrations and coordinating the preparation of sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and Account Management plans
The ideal candidate will have the following background:
10+ years of strategic sales experience exposed to banking & finance clients
Major account management skills for complex organisations, with experience in developing client relationship plans and pipeline and revenue plans.
Commerciality, financial acumen and reporting capabilities.
Ability to balance the needs and priorities of the organisation and those of the client’s organisation.
Ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.
Results/outcomes orientated – understands the difference between activity and results
Influencing skills - demonstrates the ability to engage, motivate and manage direct and indirect cross functional teams.
In return, you will be rewarded with a base up to $140k plus super with OTE @$240k. The role will have you managing existing accounts with trailing commissions.
