We are seeking an Accountant who will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data for preparation of reports. They will conduct statutory accounting and assist in management accounting task in accordance with legislation as well as following internal policies and procedures

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analysing information
  • Summarise financial status by collating information from various reports
  • Calculate quarterly tax payments and gather data for quarterly and annual tax filing
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, complete balance sheet reconciliations and support audit projects
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation registers
  • Prepare various company and financial reports and assist the Finance Manager with high level reports
  • Assist with quarterly bank reports and liaise with facility agents
  • Assistance with Ad-Hoc projects such as annual budgeting and year-end statutory accounts
  • Review purchase requisition submissions ensuring correct allocation and budget compliance
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policy and process improvements

 

About you:

  • Be CA or CPA qualified
  • Be analytically minded with excellent numeracy skills
  • Have a strong knowledge and understanding of accounting information, functions and procedures
  • Possess a high attention to detail and be highly organised
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess excellent time management skills with ability to multi task and meet deadlines
  • Be computer literate and experience in use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding or experience within the solar industry would be highly advantageous
