Catholic Education in South Australia (CESA) operates within the Archdiocese of Adelaide and the Diocese of Port Pirie to meet the needs of families who choose an education based on Christian principles in the Catholic tradition. The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides strategic and operational support services to our school communities, comprised of 103 schools of varying sizes and infrastructure.
The Planning and Development Team is responsible for supporting SA Catholic schools in strategic planning, delivery of building projects and the management and maintenance of their sites, buildings and infrastructure.
An opportunity exists for an experienced commercial projects manager to join a high energy team during an exciting period of strategic growth and development in Catholic schools.
The Facilities and Projects Manager develops and implements systems and processes to assist all CESA schools to manage their physical infrastructure. The Facilities and Projects Manager also assists individual schools to develop strategies and manage projects to continually improve learning environments.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Provide leadership in creating excellent physical learning environments for all CESA school sites, through developing best practice frameworks and processes for facilities management, preventive maintenance, minor works and refurbishment;
Provide leadership and expertise to guide schools through strategic, creative and pro-active approaches to site and infrastructure master planning;
Project Director to capital development projects;
We are seeking a leader in their field with a passion for thinking laterally and creatively to deliver outstanding outcomes.
To be considered for the role it is essential that applicants possess significant facilities management and project experience at a senior level, ideally in the education sector or aligned industry. Applicants are required to possess tertiary qualifications in facilities/project management and hold a current drivers licence. Appointment will be subject to Working with Children screening processes.
It is critical that the successful incumbent has excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
