Global Welding Supplies is a 100% Australian owned and operated local business and we offer a full range of major welding, engineering, safety and steel fabrication products and service throughout the construction, mining, heavy fabrication, engineering and sheet metal industries.

We are looking to employ a motivated and well-spoken Internal Sales Representative to join our sales team.  The Internal Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process.  You should be able to close sales and meet targets. 

To be successful as an Internal Sales Representative you should be able to build instant rapport with customers and suppliers, be a good listener and achieve customer satisfaction.  Previous knowledge in sales within the welding industry would be an advantage.  

The position is based at our Gladstone Branch and services the Gladstone, Calliope and Mirram Vale Regions.    

Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Servicing and growing our existing Customer base (both phone and counter sales)
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and follow up on leads.
  • Answering potential customers questions and sending additional information.
  • Understanding customers needs and identifying sales opportunities.  Work out the customers needs and be able to explain and demonstrate products and features of products to them.
  • Have an understanding of the sales process and dynamics - Quote, prepare orders, closing sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Liaise with stock controller to ensure adequate stocks are available to ensure timely supply of orders.
  • Develop and update a knowledge of our own and competitors products and services.
  • Liaise with other sales personnel in the company to work out the best methods of promoting products.
  • Report to management on sales and provide feedback
  • Represent the company in professional manner at all times.
  • Friendly and confident manner with a pleasant personality.
  • Able to work without direct supervision and to be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound computer knowledge
  • Adhere to the company Safety Policy.

Salary remuneration relevant to candidates skills and experience.  You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team with training and ongoing development provided.  The position is a full-time role (Monday to Friday).
