National Transport Company requires a Transport Operations Allocator/Scheduler for their Strathmerton, Victoria Depot working within the Milk Farm Pick Up Tanker Department.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role will suit a focused individual who prides themselves on planning, prioritising and time management.
The successful applicant will be responsible for;
Day to day operations of the Farm Pick Up tanker fleet
Timely and effective scheduling of delivery pick ups
Plan work allocation and/or coordinate the distribution of jobs to drivers (both company drivers and sub-contractors where applicable)
Ensure routes are planned effectively and jobs are relayed to drivers in a timely and efficient manner
Provide a high standard of service to customers to determine customer requirements with minimum cost to the Company
To be successful you will possess the following skills and experience;
Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to plan, prioritise and multi task
Meet strict deadlines
Computer literacy skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
Reliable, flexible and team orientated
Attention to detail
Sound knowledge of HACCP, BFM and other relevant transport compliance Acts and Regulations.
Previous experience in similar roles is a requirement.
As this Depot operates 24/7 all year round, the ability to be able to work flexible days and hours is also a requirement. This role will be part of the Operations team based on a 4 days on, 4 days off Roster
Full Time Position, Package approximately $85,000 pa and contingent on experience.
