This Business Support Officer role will involve working within a federal government agency that is working to transform the disability sector by providing it's participants with support and the freedom to access funds based on their individual needs. This APS4 Business Support Officer - Diversity and Inclusions role will provide support to the Community and Mainstream Engagement Branch, which plays a critical role in building the capacity of participants to understand the NDIA and use their plan to achieve their goals. In this role you will support the leadership team to deliver highly complex outcomes, projects and work programs that have strategic, political and operational significance to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the Agency delivering the NDIS.
This role has initial approval to 30 April 2021 and is based in Preston. This APS4 role isoffering an hourly rate of $45.74 + superannuation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assis the leadership team by providing professional administrative, and research services across the team and branch.
Undertake additional business support tasks depending on the direction of the line area over time.
Be proficient at scheduling and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements as required.
Assist in the management of the community engagement Vic/Tas inbox.
Schedule meetings and the preparation of documents relating to support requirements in the team.
Research and action items to provide for the inclusion and diversityneeds of all team members.
High level of customer service skills.
Previous experience in administrative role
Auslan skills or willingness to undertake Auslan training.
A jurisdictional Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Previous industry experience in government health or aged care, along with understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.
