As part of the Process Safety and Asset Management (PSAM) Program, Synergy is embarking on the asset management transformation journey over the next two years to align ourselves with the ISO 55001 Standard and Energy Institute Framework. An exciting opportunity has been created to assist the project manager with a number of capability projects, such as defect elimination, risk administrator, asset strategy development and operational readiness activities. This is a 2 year contract based in our Perth office.
The responsibility of this position is to plan, schedule and execute either one complete or key parts of these capability projects. These projects are designed to improve the individuals and organisation’s asset management capability. The engineer will need to coach, engage and collaborate with site personnel to ensure good asset management practices are embedded during the process. He/she will be working under the guidance of the Asset Management Transformation Project Manager.
Define the scope of work of the asset management capability projects
Assess project risks and support the development of solutions to mitigate the risks
Form and manage the working group for the capability projects
Contribute as a key member of the PSAM program team and successfully implement the integrated process safety and asset management transformation
The ideal candidate will possess:
A Bachelor of Engineering – (Mechanical/Electrical/Process background are preferred);
Significant experience in the power generation industry including a minimum off five years’ experience in heavy industries environment;
Proven experience on identifying engineering risk and risk assessment;
Site experience on highly complex hazardous processing plant such as power station, smelters and refinery industry are desirable;
Confidence and ability to organise, lead and conduct workshop to enable stakeholder co-creation; and
SAP experience and deep understanding of Master Data is highly regarded.
