rma network is a membership-based organisation which consists of privately owned and operated livestock and property agencies across Australia, currently at 90. We provide networking sales opportunities, advertising and marketing support and professional services & benefits across the membership

We are seeking to appoint a Finance & Administration Coordinator to undertake a wide range of financial processes, including the handling of accounts payable & receivable, financial data entry, payroll and the preparation of BAS reporting. Administrative responsibilities include email & written correspondence, managing memberships, event management processes and ensuring a high level of administrative support for the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance

  • Manage accounts payable & receivable
  • Enter data and maintain accounts using Reckon accounting software
  • Maintain an efficient, timely and compliant payroll function
  • Manage statutory compliance (BAS, PAYG, Superannuation, WorkCover etc.)
  • Analyse and provide statistics on membership financial throughput covering advertising and insurances
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of rma networks financial management policies

Administration

  • Undertake administrative tasks including banking, mail, filing, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Respond to member & external enquiries via telephone & email
  • Attend and assist with coordination & management of training events including annual conference, directors & sub-committee management meetings
  • Manage memberships & subscriptions

General

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with the CEO and other employees, Board of Directors and rma network membership
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders at all times
  • Ensure conformance to all relevant company policies and procedures and relevant acts & legislation
  • Ensure adherence and obligation for a safe workplace in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004
  • Participate in annual appraisal program

Skills, Attributes, Knowledge and Experience

  • Certification of qualifications and professional development
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail at all times
  • Very competent in Reckon (Quickbooks) including Payroll & BAS
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of MS Word & Excel
  • Proven ability and willingness to take a practical approach and undertake work at an operational level
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement and accepting of change and initiating same
  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Business or Accounting or related discipline an advantage
