SVHA is looking for an Employment Parity Initiative Recruitment Specialist to join the Indigenous Programs Team. The Employment Parity Initiative Recruitment Specialist supports and co-ordinates the attraction and pre-employment training of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander talent into a Centralised EPI Recruitment Model and sub-sequent into jobs across the SVHA Network. You will develop local employment partners and promote

SVHA as a potential employer of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Employment Parity Initiative Recruitment Specialist is offered on a full-time, fixed term, one year contract including a six-month qualifying period.

About the role:

  • Stay abreast of new developments in HR to ensure most appropriate Indigenous employment practices are in place, striving for HR & Indigenous employment best practice.
  • Work in a high performing team across SVHA Network so frequent travel will be required.
  • Lead a recruitment support function that provides superior service to internal stakeholders;
  • Coordinate all recruitment processes including Pre-screening, Interviewing, Reference Checks and Pre-employment Assessments;
  • Manage the candidate experience and expectations throughout the recruitment and onboarding process;
  • Assisting in Human Resources transactions when required;
  • Coordination and Facilitation of Onboarding and Orientation for all employees;
  • Oversee the attraction and sourcing strategy, including attraction channels, key suppliers and budgets;
  • Supports execution of processes, tasks and overall administration, and ensures continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organisation;
  • Ensure effectiveness and utilisation of talent pools and candidate pipelines to minimize identified succession gaps;
  • Drive process automation and continuous improvement projects to simplify the recruitment process, gain efficiencies and provide exceptional candidate and hiring manager user experience;
  • You will participate and contribute in a range of projects and activities to ensure the business achieves diversity and inclusion objectives.

About you:

  • Experience as a Talent Manager, highly desirable.
  • Must have high-volume experience
  • Extensive experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander sourcing, recruitment, training and retention strategies.
  • Project Manager skills
  • Experience in the use of e-recruitment tool (workday) and/or familiarity with job seeker database.
  • Experience in the health industry is desirable.
  • Current Drivers License.
  • A quick thinker with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Effectively communicate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, partner organisation.
