- Supportive Board, skilled & progressive Leadership Team
- Located inner Brisbane.
- Competitive salary and developmental opportunities
Your proven skill in finding & producing captivating human-interest stories is more important than qualifications in this role.
With great leadership, a supportive Board and a high-performing team, this well-resourced Foundation supports one of Queenslands largest hospitals. It works to provide the funds for essential medical research programs and to fund the equipment, technology and training needed for excellent patient care.
Having bedded down impressive new branding, the imminent goal is now to promote the Foundation afresh and deepen its bonds with the loyal benefactors who support its work.
And in these uncertain times, theres no surer way to do that than through good news - by communicating the many fascinating and life changing events that are being achieved through research and in the Hospital.
The Foundations philanthropic benefactors want and deserve to be told about the triumphs so they can share the credit for these exciting achievements. And its in meeting that need that provides the main driver of this exciting new role.
With your work disseminated across all channels including social, digital, print and broadcast media, there will, of course, be other functions. These will include maintaining the social media presence, contributing to the Annual Report, preparing releases and marketing collateral and more all in a days work for the skilled generalist journalist or copywriter that you are.
But the real focus here lies in using your nose for news, developing hospital-wide contacts and relationships and creating a steady flow of great, never-before-told stories that everyone wants to read. Agile and flexible, you are quick to see and engage with new opportunities and make a story out of every one of them.
As a true professional, you are accurate, creative, articulate, helpful, convivial and a consistent performer - able to happily blend into a close-knit, productive team and passionate about using your skills to make a difference.
Drawing on your ability to transform complex medical or technical information into captivating, emotive stories of hope and vision, your work will touch peoples hearts and minds and encourage their determination to stay involved with the Foundation.
If what youve read here, rings bells with you, please be sure to include a stand-out cover letter with your application, along with some samples of - or links to - your bestwork, in any format.
