Purpose of the role
The City Presentation directorate ensures that our area is presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner, that is clean, enjoyable to live in and instils pride in our community.
The ideal candidate will act as the face of Council to the general public assisting Senior Operations Technicians and Team Leaders to deliver essential services in the area of planned and reactive activities to maintain the quality of Councils parks and open spaces.
This role works day to day as part of a small crew to conduct a wide range of activities and to ensure that all allocated work and/or programs are met. Duties will involve:
Maintenance of Councils parks, trees, open spaces and related assets
Carrying out works in response to the effects of extreme weather conditions, storms and natural disasters
Delivering essential services across Council including; arboriculture, horticulture, turf maintenance, tractor driving, landscaping and traffic management activities.
General schooling to Year 10 or 12 and/or relevant experience.
A SafeWork NSW white card (General construction induction card).
Current Class C Drivers Licence
