Customer Service Officer

The Australian Stock Horse Society (ASHS) is the peak body representing Australian Stock Horse Breeders and Competitors around the world. With a membership of between eight and nine thousand people, the Society represents the largest breed of pleasure and recreational horses in the country, with interest growing around the world. 

A position has become available for a motivated and experienced person to fill a key role within the organisation as a Customer Service Officer (CSO) in our Head Office located in Scone NSW.

The role of a CSO is to deliver member satisfaction in accord with the Societys policies and regulations. The CSO ensures that Member enquiries / applications are prioritised in relation to workflow. CSOs are expected to exercise a high degree of initiative and place member satisfaction at the forefront of their work day.

The CSO will provide administrative and logistical support and will assist in the efficient and effective operation of the Australian Stock Horse Society.

The role reports directly to the Membership and Marketing Manager and key responsibilities include:

  • Engage with Members in a way that generates long term loyalty and commitment to the ASHS through value added membership services;
  • Manage and process Memberships, Registrations, Transfer Applications, Event Entries, Branch enquiries as well as other Breed Registry Data as requested, to ensure consistency between regulations covering the breed and activities conducted by the Society;
  • Provide accurate information to Members regarding the Societys Membership, Breed Registry and Events;

 

Ideally the Successful Applicant should have the following strengths, either gained through qualifications or experience:

 

  • Experience in quality Customer Service with a good understanding of the principles and practices of Customer Service;
  • Experience in performing administrative and clerical duties in an office environment;
  • Ability to understand complex regulations and apply these in the daily processing of work;
  • Experience with Social Media platforms.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite; e.g. Excel, Word, Mail Merge, and Outlook;
  • Ability to learn new computer applications particularly in relation to the Societys business including but not limited to iCompete & Visage;
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
