A newly created position for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a successful team in the Canberra office.
This is a position which will see you leveraging existing relationships, creating new relationships with government agencies and partner entities. Blending a combination of soft market approach with cold calling, be responsible for growing revenue by working closely with fellow business development and sales staff, Practice Leads, technical leads, and teams to ensure that you fully understand the company services and market and sell the skills that produce these services.
Sell services to meet agreed targets.
New business and account management across Federal Government.
Research, develop and maintain a sales pipeline in the CRM system.
Drive the proposal process and any correspondence with the prospect.
Be accountable for the legal aspects of sales including NDAs, contracts, and SOWs.
Maintain and demonstrate up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments.
Represent this organisation at events to promote services.
Successfully and professionally deliver presentations to key clients.
Identify new opportunities to grow and further enhance relationships with new, existing and past clients.
Constantly establish and maintain industry contacts generating new leads.
Successfully respond to tenders.
Orchestrate the sales and account management processes from lead identification through to close.
Client Management/Relationship Management - Build new and existing; strong, lasting, profitable and mutually beneficial relationships.
Commercial Management - Demonstrate commercial discipline and focus, manage commercial risk while driving growth.

Experience in selling services (recruitment, professional services or consulting).

Experience - at least two years of professional services sales experience.
