Business Traineeship, Administration Support Officer - Swan Hill

Murray Mallee Training Company together with Swan Hill District Health are looking to hire a motivated and career driven Business trainee to join the Finance Department of the Health Service. This position includes full training of all departmental functions (switch board, accounts receivable, accounts payable, simplified billing and aged care).


You will be working alongside experienced administration staff who will help to develop and enhance your administration skills. The environment is team focussed and you will be guided all the way through your traineeship. This is a Full-Time position with the potential for long term employment for the right applicant.

 Skills required:

  • Must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated reliability
  • Prior experience in a high-volume environment is advantageous
  • Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised using sound judgment
  • Commitment to ethical behaviour and conduct
  • Understanding of how to prioritise responsibilities and the importance of meeting deadlines

Responsibilities include:

  • Telephone communication for both internal and external calls & answering patient and visitor enquiries at front reception
  • Assist with general office duties 
  • Accounts payable and receivable Invoicing & receipting 
  • Reconciliations and banking procedures
  • Workcover accounts 
  • Outgoing and Internal mail
  • Reporting
  • Debt collecting
  • End of month accounting process 
  • Learning Department wide procedures 

The successful applicant will be employed through Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd and Hosted to Swan Hill District Health.
