Fremantle Christian College is seeking a part-time Finance Manager (0.6 FTE) to be responsible for all financial operations of the school. The successful applicant will support the Principal in strengthening the financial stability and growth of the school.
You will oversee the entire spectrum of the financial operations in the area of payroll, taxation, student fee statements, budgeting and budgetary control, loan and grant applications, grant acquittal, monthly financial reports for the Council, annual financial audit, annual statutory reporting, questionnaire, insurance policies, creating financial policies as required and complying with all legislative and Departmental requirements. You will be assisted by a Finance Officer. You will provide guidance and supervision over the data entry made by the Finance Officer as well as the Administration Officers with regards to payments received in the office pertaining to fees, uniforms etc.
The candidate will:
Be a qualified accountant with minimum three years of working experience in a similar role and preferably in a school or education environment.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills with well-developed diplomacy and cross-cultural sensitivity.
Have a valid Working With Children Check and a Police Clearance.
Preferably have a high level of computer literacy using MS Office, SchoolPro, SEQTA and MYOB and other relevant programs.
