About us

Our business is seeking to appoint a highly dedicated, experienced and energetic Feedlot Supervisor

for our well-established feedlot and backgrounding operation in Western Australia.

Our farm, feedlot and Backgrounding facility spans across 9,000ha and is located 170km north of Perth in Western Australia. We have the capacity to lot feed and background 13,400hd of Cattle year-round.

About the role

The Feedlot Supervisor will take responsibility for the day to day operations of the 10,400 head backgrounding facility and 3,200 head NFAS accredited feedlot, which will include but is not limited to management of daily feeding, continual monitoring of cattle health and welfare, assist with preparing cattle for drafting and loadout, manage the ordering and scheduling of commodities, maintain all feedlot administration and record keeping, supervise the milling of grain, manage and maintain cleaning schedules of all pens and troughs, manage maintenance schedules, manage appropriate staffing levels and drive team efficiencies, maintain high levels of communication with all team members and management staff.

Required experience and skills:

  • Proven experience working within an intensive feedlot/backgrounding environment
  • Experience in administering feedlot software systems specifically Elynx BMS
  • Experience in managing the milling of grain, commodity ordering and scheduling
  • Experience operating machinery including but not limited to tractors, Telehandlers, Supreme tub mixing wagons
  • The ability to manage a team and drive performance and efficiencies
  • Hold a valid Australian drivers licence
  • Be committed to your role, your team and our customers
  • A tertiary qualification or degree in Agriculture is desirable but not essential
