Sales Operations Consultant

Unique opportunity to join one of Australia's leading energy retailers, Great team-based environment, Premier Melbourne CBD location.The Sales Operations Consultant is responsible for assisting the Sales team in expanding and retaining ERM Power’s Small to Medium Enterprise Business (SME) customer base. The primary focus will be to provide administrative support to the business with a focus on winning new electricity business and strengthening existing customer and broker relationships.

  • Support the sales team in achieving acquisition and retention targets as outlined in the incumbent's performance agreement;
  • Respond to sales enquiries that come through the website or contact centre;
  • Support channels and brokers throughout the acquisition and account establishment process;
  • Respond to tenders and pricing requests sent to SME sales inbox;
  • Account management of single site customers;
  • Process roll-in requests, Greenfields, abolishment’s, meter exchanges and other enquiries related to energy accounts;
  • Respond to invoice and data requests and other administrative enquiries from customers and brokers;
  • Assist in the reconciliation of broker commission invoices;
  • Assist with web portal set up and training;
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and system development to deliver greater success and business efficiencies;
  • Provide administrative support to the C&I Sales and SME customer service teams.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • Have an understanding of the energy sector, preferably within a retail environment (highly regarded);
  • You possess experience in successfully selling to or servicing business customers;
  • Proven track record in supporting a sales team in meeting targets / KPIs;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate good business and customer outcomes;
  • Demonstrated desire and interest in helping customers and maintaining strong relationships;
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal systems and processes;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to meet personal objectives as well as aligning to team goals; and
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining tolerance, appropriate humour and patience.
