About the role

 

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and creative Events Coordinator who is highly organised, flexible, with exceptional attention to detail, and who excels in managing relationships to produce a calendar of events that engage our range of stakeholders. You will be responsible for the building, managing and support of Planet Ark's visibility at public events. As well as developing the content and promotional materials that align with Planet Ark'scampaigns and programs. 

A full-time role based in our city office in Sydney's Haymarket - a convenient location close to Central, shops and right across from Belmore Park. We are also well set up for home-based work. The salary is $60-65k per annum depending on experience, plus super and additional benefits.

Function and Purpose

 

  1. Developanddeliverthe National Circular Economy Hub event seriesand otherCircular Economyevents. 
  2. Work with the Circular Economy team to ensureparticipation andmarketing tothe most suitable audiences. 
  3. Work with theCommunicationsteamto develop, produce and release a rangeof media resources including media releases, social media contentand other media tools as agreed. 
  4. Assist with the management ofspeaking eventsincluding proactivelysearching for suitable speaking eventsfor staff, registering participation, submitting bios andany other relevant support. 
  5. Undertakeregularevaluation including reporting tothe CEO, Exec, other staff, partners and stakeholders. 
  6. Develop and maintain good relationships and communication with internal teams. 
  7. Ensure personal adherence to Planet Ark's HR Manual. 
  8. Contribute to otherorganisationalactivitiesand other duties as reasonably directed by theManager. 

 

Skills and experience

 

Essential Selection Criteria 

  1. At least 3 years' experience in event management /marketing/ communications 
  2. An energetic self-starter, witha strong goal-driven desire tosucceed 
  3. Extensive experience inpartner/stakeholdermanagementwith strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated capacity for conflict resolution 
  4. Strong presentationand content creationskills 
  5. Anexcellent attention to detail 
  6. Ability to work wellindependentlyandas part ofa team 
  7. Ability to think quickly, work effectively under pressure andtomanage several projects at once 
  8. Excellentorganisational, verbal and written communication skills 
  9. Computer literate with demonstrated ability in generic computer packages such as Microsoft Office and CRM proficiency 
  10. A strong alignment with Planet Ark's mission and values
