This is a fantastic opportunity in our office in Canberra for an energetic and enthusiastic person who wants to become a part of a hardworking and vibrant team. Good management skills, attention to detail and flexibility are essential, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be exposed to all areas of operation and be able to work independently, commensurate with your abilities.  This is a Canberra based position working to the Business Operations Manager. The role suits a vibrant, personable individual who enjoys working in a small team of dedicated and talented people.

Main duties include:

  • office management, administrative support and receptionist functions
  • filing and document management, CRM support, correspondence production and management
  • consultant and team travel management
  • corporate events support, management and coordination
  • support to book-keeping: payables, receivables, reporting, payroll and timesheet management, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, BAS, FBT, Insurance commensurate with ability
  • social media support
  • other tasks as allocated by the Business Operation Manager.

To be successful you will:

  • have strong computer and MS Office skills
  • have excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • have executive and corporate personal presentation and communication
  • be personable with good humour
  • be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • be a self-starter, results orientated, a quick learner and requiring little guidance
  • be confident interacting with senior executives
  • be an Australian citizen and able to gain an Australian Security Clearance; and
  • public and private sector experience looked upon favourably.

The position may suit part time work for the right candidate, with potential to negotiate hours around school or childcare commitments. A generous employment package is offered with flexibility to maintain work-life balance.
