In this Associate User Experience Researcher (UXR) role you will report into the Senior UX Researcher and be a member of the UX Research Practice, which is part of the wider UX team that operates within SEEK's Product department.
In this role youll work closely with other researchers in the UXR Practice, as well as UX Designers, Product Managers and others to conduct user experience research. This includes testing concepts and live websites/apps, as well as supporting regular ongoing exploratory research activities.
Your day will include:
Contributing to research-based decision-making across SEEK products and services, and thus help inform product strategy and direction
Pairing with the Senior UX Researcher to conduct large qualitative research studies
Helping facilitate generative and evaluative research contributing to website/app improvements
Supporting the Senior UX Researcher(s), UX Designers, and Product Managers to prepare and conduct research activities, from planning to report-writing and sharing
Planning, co-ordinating, and executing research operational duties to support the UXR Practice
Helping plan, coordinate, and execute internal research communications and UXR Practice improvement initiatives

So, what are we looking for
Understanding of user research and related disciplines within a consultative or corporate environment
Relevant experience gained through study, or field experience. A background in social/cognitive sciences is helpful.
Familiarity with industry best practices in use research methodologies, including usability testing, interviewing, card sorting and survey-writing
Familiarity with how user research runs from an operational standpoint
Experience in managing projects and/or time critical tasks with particular emphasis on prioritising work
A desire to grow a career in the field of user experience research
