The primary purpose of the Executive Assistant is to provide support to the Director - Community Development in a variety of administrative functions, to support the effective, timely and professional management of Community Development services, programs and projects, including liaison and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
Relevant Tertiary Qualifications or relevant demonstrable experience.
Demonstrated administration and organisational skills to provide efficient administration and financial support.
Experience in dealing with confidential information and demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality and professional standards of behaviour in difficult and sensitive circumstances.
Proven ability to maintain organisational documents and electronic document management systems with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent planning and time management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities within the broader community and be able to provide practical hands on and diverse administrative and financial experience.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment with proven people and professional skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in written communication and advanced Microsoft Office suite capability.
Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety policy within the broader work environment.
It would be desirable if you also possessed:
Previous experience working or living within an Indigenous setting and ability to demonstrate a high level of cross cultural awareness in the workplace.
Awareness of issues affecting Indigenous people to ensure effective participation in a cross-cultural environment.
What you'll get in return: A full time permanent position, receiving a base salary of $75,178.33 pa + 9.5% superannuation payments and locality allowance. You will also benefit from 6 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
NOTE: Housing is not provided with this role. Access to own housing in Nhulunbuy or it's surrounds is a must for the successful candidate
