BioMars Australian business unit in Tasmania is currently searching for an efficient logistics administrator to join their team at Wesley Vale in Tasmania with a focus on sales order administration and outbound logistics to Tasmania, Australia and New Zealand.

About the position

This role provides you the opportunity to work in a growing industry and globally successful organisation where you will have the ownership and accountability to contribute to the ongoing success of BioMar in Australia.  Reporting directly to the Fulfillment Manager, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Providing full administration support to the fulfillment team in respect of customer orders; including responding to customer enquiries.  This involves using several pieces of software.
  • Managing export permits and various requirements/customs clearance for those items sent to New Zealand and other parts of Australia.
  • Coordinating the delivery of finished goods to customer including document checks and shipping schedules.  This includes responding to customer enquiries regarding the location and condition of goods in transit.
  • Monthly inventory adjustment, forecasting and reporting
  • Liaison with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.


Successful Candidate

We are searching for someone who has excellent experience in logistics administration both within Australia and New Zealand, predominately in food exports.  Ideally the successful candidate will have

  • Customer-centric approach with a friendly nature that focuses on solving customer issues
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced Microsoft Excel experience.  Ideally with experience using Merit Logistics, M3 and various logistic company online portals.
  • Experience administering domestic and Australasian logistics
  • Understanding of the freight equalization scheme
  • Flexible approach to problem solving with demonstrated results.


On offer

This role sits under our Employment Agreement with an hourly rate of between $24.44 - $28.33 depending on skills and experience.  We can offer flexible working arrangements with part-time to begin with, however the role is expected to be full-time by the start of July.
