Operational Supervisor

  • Supervise daily production to the set plan, in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Plant leadership position, people management and development of a large team.
  • This position will work within a 4 day on 4 days off 12-hour shift roster, rotating day and night shift.

We are looking for an applicant who will thrive on securing sound operational outcomes within a food manufacturing business. In this newly created role you will coach and develop the Team to deliver production targets in a safe and effective manner. You will drive best practice and support the leadership team in driving change and meeting business KPIs.

This role will be responsible for:

  • The Production facility which will encompass Production and Logistics.
  • Support the growth of the business and to combine ways of working into an integrated efficient product. Throughput is the life blood to this plant.
  • Ensure all key staff understand the companys expectations regarding throughput and action is taken when targets are not met, having an ongoing focus on actual Output v Labour cost against targets.
  • You will provide expert advice, leadership and hands on support to ensure the company achieves its objectives.
  • Autonomous outcome-based roles.
  • Ensuring that the team and all staff are OH&S compliant.
  • Ensure that all new line employees are trained and mentored.
  • Collaborate with the supply and planning team to improve productivity and make necessary amendments to the production plan
  • Undertake any other responsibilities, consistent with skills, qualifications and experience as may be required from time to time

We are seeking someone who has these Key Personal Attributes 

  • Demonstrated working experience within a fast moving consumable goods food manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced in managing continuous shift based production facilities or similar high pressure environments.
  • Proven ability to multitask, set and manage priorities based on organisational requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product quality, safety and productivity.
  • A track record of delivering results within a production team environment
  • Ability to work with peers in a positive manner on a daily basis to support the customer and team.
  • Good interpersonal experience with a wide range of business people.
  • The drive to meet and own the outcomes sought from this role.
  • Engagement with site peers, quality assurance, scheduling and safety on a daily basis to ensure that relevant issues are discussed.

This position will work within a 4 day on 4 days off 12-hour shift roster. Start times will be 7am.
