About the opportunity:
HomeStart's Finance Team are offering the chance for an experienced Accountant to join the team on a full-time basis. Located in the CBD and reporting to our Finance Leader, the Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse and report on financial information, including the preparation of statutory and management accounts. This position also provides accounting support to the Finance Leader on a wide range of financial and management accounting activities including:
- Month, quarter and year end requirements,
- Preparation of GST/BAS, FBT and other statutory reporting requirements
- Corporate Credit Cards
- Fixed Assets
- Daily processing of cash and treasury requirements
You bring energy and creativity to your team to positively impact and influence others and are happy to help others to spread the workload. You have experience in a similar role, with a flair for creating innovative solutions that help make a difference to our people and customers.
You will also have, amongst other things:
- Strong working knowledge of the current Australian Accounting Standards and other relevant legislation
- Full membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CA ANZ or CPA Australia)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
