My client is a Hobart based consultancy who partner with leading architects and developers from around Australia to deliver structural, civil and hydraulic engineering projects in various sectors. They are looking to bring on a Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist to bolster their team.
Work independently under guidance from the management team and other senior members.
Work on projects related to subdivisions and land development, residential construction, low-rise buildings, and commercial and educational developments.
Carry out your own client liaison, project scheduling and management of outcomes.
Conduct field work, laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with Australian Standards.
Provide onsite supervision and advice to clients and contractors including earthworks verification.
Manage operational aspects of the department including budgets, targets, clients, and equipment.
Maintain the existing long-term client base and seek new relationships.
Work with the management team on department strategy and broadening the range of services provided.
To apply for this role, you must have:
Previous experience in Australia within soil testing, analysis and reporting – experience in geotechnical investigations and reporting will be advantageous.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience within the geotechnical/civil engineering sectors.
Bachelors degree accredited by Engineers Australia in engineering or science.
A willingness to take ownership of the department and be a part of its future strategic development.
