Network of Community Activities is a not-for-profit community organisation that has been operating for over 45 years supporting the Out of School Hours sector. We are a membership organisation. This is a unique position to provide support to a small but dynamic management team that engage with Network's membership & key stakeholders

As Communications & Marketing Project officer, you will be responsible to the CEO for the development and management of internal and external communications (including media), organisation collateral, and processes designed to monitor, maintain and build the strength of the organisation. You will provide support to the CEO and management team as required. You will also support our stakeholder engagement activities, including ensuring our social media presence is current and the website is updated regularly.

To be successful in this role, you will bring enthusiasm and skills in developing high-quality communication to members and stakeholders. You will promote the organisation through targeted marketing. You will have strong interpersonal skills and excellent computer literacy. You will enjoy working in a multi-faceted role, thrive on variety and be comfortable with deadlines. And you will enjoy being part of a small, collaborative team doing good things for the Out of School Hours sector. 

Selection Criteria:

  • Qualifications in a field appropriate to the position (Communications, engagement, public relations or marketing)
  • Experience in an organisation or work placement in the field of communications and/or marketing
  • Passionate about communications and ability to write, edit and proofread across traditional and digital channels, including the ability to write for diverse audiences- internal, members, external, stakeholders, partners and media
  • Expertise in IT skills, including competency with Microsoft Office Professional, Adobe Suite, Photoshop, website content management e.g. WordPress Excellent administration skills and database experience
  • Well presented with a professional and polite manner
  • Can work autonomously and as part of a small teamDesirable Criteria
  • Experience in working in an OOSH service as an educator or administrator
  • Knowledge and understanding of the OOSH sectorOther requirements
  • Australian Citizenship or Residency
  • Position subject to a national Criminal History Check clearance and a Valid Working With Children Check clearance

    38 hours per week ongoing contract. SCHADS Award level 4.1
