The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s (NSW DPIE) Digital Information Office is looking for an experienced ICT Procurement Officer to provide end to end support to a diverse range of businesses and their ICT procurement needs across the Cluster.
A people person, with the ability to explain the details to those who need your knowledge, you’ll use your experience in the preparation, development, and coordination of procurement and contracting activities to ensure your clients remain compliant with both Departmental policies and guidelines as well as NSW legislative requirements.
Currently a 12-month temporary position, you’ll have a high level of computer skills and ideally have a proven understanding of RFx, contract drafting, and negotiation, contract, and vendor performance management.
You’ll be adept at providing solutions for your clients, sourcing and reviewing supply arrangements, preparing tenders, negotiating contracts, developing documents and maintaining records.
You’ll thrive in a high-pressure environment, enjoy problem-solving when required, and have the capability to work with and across multiple business clients.
What you’ll have:
Proven ability to undertake and deliver end-to-end procurement activities, ideally within a government and/or ICT environment
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as a demonstrated understanding of the procurement, contract, and vendor management process.
A commitment to customer service, with a passion for helping others and a drive to get things done.
A knack for explaining complex processes and requirements in simple terms combined with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
Proven experience working in a multi-faceted and complex business environment
