About the Role:
We are seeking an Insolvency Senior/ Supervisor to join our progressive and dynamic team in our Sydney CBD office. You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering a broad range of insolvency tasks to a high standard, in line with Worrells protocols and values. This role works closely with File Accountants to organise and manage completion of insolvency engagements while delivering quality service to all stakeholders.
This is a full time role on a Monday to Friday basis, from 8:30am to 5:30pm (with a 1-hour lunch).
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Setting deadlines for work to be completed in accordance with firm and statutory obligations.
Assessing the business and providing recommendations and strategies on sales and disposals.
Assisting with marketing and selling assets.
Attending sites to inspect/collect/list assets and/or books and records and ensure compliance with firm and statutory obligations.
Reviewing documentation to assess validity of security interests (e.g. review security documentation).
Assisting with FEG.
Reviewing investigations into solvency matters and voidable transactions.
Review summary of potential offences and review offence reports to regulatory bodies.
Assist with various tasks which include but are not limited to, seeking funding, creditor meetings, seeking fee approval, dividend procedures and the finalisation of files.
Assisting with the financial performance of the company by recording tasks on timesheets and ensuring the completion of timesheets and completing monthly fee sheets.
Assisting with staff performance and development, training and coaching, providing practical advice and constructive feedback, monitoring the performance of File Accountant Identify performance issues, and identifying opportunities to reinforce, reward and celebrate individual progress and achievements.
The ideal candidate for this role would have:
Experience in insolvency.
A CAANZ/CPA (or equivalent), or currently be in the process of completing one.
A degree in Accounting / Commerce, or a similar degree.
The ability to accurately identify and respond to the needs of stakeholders in a professional manner.
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in insolvency.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of software programs including MYOB, Quicken, Xero would be highly regarded but is not essential.
