Accounts and Administration Officer

Ensuring our AMIA accounts and administration functions of the business operate with Team spirit in an efficient, compliant and effective way on time and with a positive memorable customer experience


Advance Metal Industries Australia is a family owned Coffs Harbour company established 1984 and currently we employee 65+ on our Team.  AMIA is a Licenced Manufactured of the G James system since 1987.

We are seeking a motivated person, with the ability to learn and grow within an accounts and administration role.

Responsibilities of the Role as a key member of the AMIA Administration Team:


  • Creditors and Debtors management
  • Bank reconciliation and petty cash management
  • Documentation management


  • Database maintain:  including subscriptions, licences, memberships, company cards, accommodation and travel reservations, industry accreditation and compliance
  • Documentation subcontractors
  • Customer service support telephone inbound calls and reception
  • Reporting and software systems recording and working within our M1 portal


  • Operational areas and information under your control are secure and confidential

Skills and Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of general financial book keeping
  • MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • M1 business platform training will be provided
  • Current Driving Licence


  • Positive energy with a professional and motivated work ethic
  • Self-management - ability to switch effectively between task and people interactions
  • Communication skills interact effectively within administration and operational areas
  • Resolution skills to help drive positive outcomes s with an ability to be assertive when following up outstanding matters
  • High attention to detail, keen eye for error, and problem solving
  • Identify areas for process improvement, articulate relevant changes and drive change to maximise efficiencies
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to the work environment with the ability to be responsive to requests at short notice
  • Capacity to meet strict deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual presentation skills
  • Ability to gain knowledge of a range of role specific skills through training
  • Advanced level computer skills and experience working within business software systems
  • Willingness to learn from the experience of others
