Business Development Manager - Western Australia

Parkside is a family owned; Australia based Hardwood Sawmilling Company which prides themselves in state of the art production of decorative, structural and joinery hardwood products. Currently we are seeking applications for an experienced Business Development to join our sales team servicing the Western Australia regions.    

 

About the role:

The purpose of this position is to develop a market strategy that will promote and sell the range of Parkside Timber hardwood products in the regions of Western Australia. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the customer relationships that will deliver the best financial return for Parkside Timber.
  • Meet budgeted sales targets monthly and annually
  • Grow market share in WA by the acquisition of new customers that fit the overall sales strategy.
  • Assist in the Budgeting process for your territory
  • Maintain regular and consistent call cycles for customers within your region
  • Actively explore new product opportunities that can deliver improved sales value and financial returns.
  • Actively participate and assist with customer trade shows and promotions.

 

 

Criteria:

  • 5 years experience in a similar role preferred
  • Be available to travel regularly which will include overnight accommodation and occasionally the requirement to work weekends
  • Knowledge of hardwood decorative, structural and joinery hardwood products
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
