The opportunity

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Emergency Patroller to be part of our Sydney Maintenance team.

What you will be involved in:

  • Patrolling major road routes and responding to unplanned incidents with the aim of returning the road to normal operating conditions with the utmost urgency
  • Providing initial traffic control
  • Reporting incidents

  • Assisting motorists and keeping the roadway free of minor obstructions

About you

We are looking for a high performer who is able to work independently and is comfortable rectifying simple hazards at their worksites without direction.

Essential requirements

  • Proven ability to effectively plan and coordinate the delivery of work, and achieve time, cost and quality targets
  • Current motor vehicle drivers licence

  • Demonstrate sound communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to operate in accordance with worksite traffic control plans

  • Knowledge and ability to operate with environmental and safety hazard controls and procedures

Salary and Benefits

WCS pay point 5 ($1223.84) per week plus employers contribution to superannuation and leave loading.
