Riverina owns six mills which are located at Kingaroy, Loganlea, Warwick, Casino, Murgon, and Oakey. They deal with manufacturing of dry stock feeds, dog food and liquid feeds, primarily as suspension supplements.

About the role

The position is based in Milton, Queensland and has the responsibility for purchasing raw materials as well as liaising with suppliers and freight companies where applicable to ensure the timely delivery of all raw materials to production facilities.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Purchasing of products in line with the companys approved supplier list, relevant supply agreements and goals
  • Undertake administrative processes involved with purchasing and supply of products, inclusive of logistics co-ordination
  • Manage multi-site stock control
  • Accurately maintain the companys ERP system
  • Actively contribute to the purchasing strategy, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all set tasks
  • Assist in preparation and execution of tender documents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers

About you

You will have solid experience in purchasing and logistics, ideally in a FMCG or multi-site manufacturing environment, and also:

  • Strong negotiation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail combined  with accurate data entry and numerical skills
  • Great organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems highly regarded
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as unsupervised
  • Proven ability to work autonomously
  • A professional attitude with excellent communication skills
