Part Time Admin/Bookkeeping Assistant

The Caulfield Grammarians' Association is currently seeking an experienced and motivated bookkeeper/administrator to join our small team one day a week. The position will report to the Executive Director and be based out of our office in St Kilda East. The role will be a one-year contract with the possibility of an ongoing position. Flexible working hours are available for the right individual.
 
The successful applicant will assist our busy not-for-profit office migrate accounting systems (MYOB to Xero) and implement relevant accounting and administration processes to help our organisation become more efficient. There will be a significant administration component to the role. 
 
We are looking for someone with a passion for what they do and an ability to innovate and think outside the box.
 
Main duties include (but are not limited to): 

  • Accounts Payable and Account Receivable
  • P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with BAS, Super etc.
  • General Ledger maintenance and reconciliations
  • Preparation of financial/management reports
  • Audit preparation
  • Bank reconciliations and banking
  • Budget preparation
  • Processing payments
  • Paying bills
  • General administration
  • Reception
  • Filing
  • Data entry
  • Mailing 


Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Solid Xero experience or equivalent
  • Excellent bookkeeping/accounting abilities
  • Working With Childrens Check
  • Experience working for not-for-profits a bonus
  • Be a confident and highly organised individual
  • Good interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Be self-motivated and reliable
