Legal Administration Assistant

Elringtons Lawyers are looking for an exceptional Administration Assistant to join their Family Law team in their Canberra City office.

The Role

As one of our Family Law Administrative Assistant you will:

  • Draft legal documents including Affidavits, Applications and letters.
  • Works closely with senior legal practitioners involved in a variety of matters across the department
  • Assist solicitors with correspondence and documentation
  • Answer telephone queries and complaints and direct calls
  • Manage the diary of legal practitioners
  • Photocopy and collate documents
  • Open, manage and close client files
  • File
  • Identify and resolve problems
  • Meet with clients, building relationships, supporting solicitors in client management.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will:

  • Have at least 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a legal firm
  • Have a natural affinity with clients and the ability to interact with clients confidentially while building effective working relationships
  • Have a real attention to detail and pride yourself on the quality of service you provide our clients
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook
  • Have a high level of computer literacy
  • Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work
  • Have the ability to prioritize and work to deadlines, showing excellent time management skills
