About the Role
The Manager Resource and Budgeting is responsible for coordinating the Colleges annual budget process, prepares internal monthly management reports for the College Executive and completes the College five year financial plan. This position uses database and spreadsheet applications in order to build financial models and analyse information to support decision making and provide a consultancy service to internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develops, implements and maintains the Colleges annual budget and 5 year financial plan (i.e. Section 40 and Treasury budget estimates).
Liaises with the Department of Training & Workforce Development and Treasury on budgetary matters, including budget adjustments in the Treasury Strategic Information Management System (SIMS).
Supports the Director Finance (CFO) to deliver strategic finance initiatives.
Provides in-depth analysis on the financial performance of the College, including benchmarking against other public and private training providers.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you are a qualified Accountant with current membership of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Institute of Public Accountants, CIMA Australia or appropriate membership of a recognised overseas accounting body.
