General Manager - National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS)
Diabetes Australia is the national body for people with diabetes and those at risk, committed to reducing the impact of diabetes and working in partnership with member organisations, consumers, health professionals, researchers and healthcare providers to minimise the impact of diabetes on the Australian community.
Diabetes Australia has managed the delivery of the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) since its inception in 1987 in partnership with successive Australian Governments. The NDSS provides diabetes self-management information, education, services and products accessible for all eligible Australians and makes a real difference in the lives of people with diabetes. Currently, 1.3 million Australians are registered with the NDSS.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Diabetes Australia and working as part of the Executive Team, you will be responsible for the leadership, management and delivery of the NDSS including working extensively with key stakeholders across Australia. In this highly collaborative role, you will work hard to create valued partnerships across jurisdictions and sectors to deliver a high quality, national program that meets the needs of people with diabetes.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced executive who has demonstrated capability, resilience and gravitas in the delivery of a large and complex national program with a diverse stakeholder base. You will be known for your innovative and person-centred style and your ability to deliver against key strategic objectives, as well as leading and building teams and strong financial and business stewardship.

A deep understanding of the development and delivery of Commonwealth Funded Programs is essential. Tertiary qualifications along with a background in the Health sector would be highly regarded.
