Client Services Officer

Our client is seeking a motivated individual to take up the exciting full-time role of Client Services Officer within their established and growing practice. You will be working with a team of twelve Accountants and five support staff in this privately owned business. 
On offer is a fulfilling and challenging position in an enjoyable atmosphere. The role requires experience in a Public Practice Accounting firm as you will be a key go to person for the team. This is a great opportunity to expand on your existing experience as the role has growth and leadership potential.  
Duties will include:

  • Supporting the accounting team in all areas of administration
  • Client follow up to include; booking appointments, responding to client requests/ enquires by phone and email
  • Managing and maintaining the database (MYOB AE) to include new client set up
  • Workflow and task management to include WIP reports
  • Generating and finalising engagement, ethical and standard order letters and reports
  • Assist with bills, invoices and debtor statements
  • All ASIC duties to include business name registrations, updates, transfer, changes and reminders
  • ATO lodgements to include monthly/quarterly BAS/IAS and individual tax returns
  • ATO payments, reminders, queries, lodgement deferrals
  • Team timesheets
  • Maintenance of team templates in Word and Excel
  • Team scanning, filing, binding and collating documents
  • Mail distribution, recording and franking
  • General team support as required

The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate and possess:

  • A minimum 3 years admin experience in a Public Practice Accounting firm 
  • Understanding of Accounting terminology, workflow systems and processes 
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite, MYOB AE and cloud-based technology
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Sound written and verbal communication
  • The work ethic to deliver efficient and professional customer service with high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience in working in an environment where strict adherence to policy and procedure is essential 
  • Confidence and a "can-do" attitude
