The role We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic payroll experienced individual to join our small Finance team and play an integral part in delivering exceptional payroll service within the College. The position is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of payroll on a fortnightly basis for teaching and non-teaching staff.
Provide customer service to all stakeholders at a high level at all times.
Process the payroll system through TASS accurately.
Be up to date and familiar with current EA and Modern Awards in consultation with HR.
Provide accurate information to staff on payroll queries.
Processing of Workers Compensation claims.
Ensure compliance with College superannuation and other legislative requirements related to payroll.
Administer the issue of employee payment summaries.
Other key accountabilities appropriate to the banding of the position as determined by the supervisor of the role.
Be flexible in relation to the changing requirements within a school environment and manage your time accordingly.
Proven experience in efficient running of payroll ensuring accurate and timely production of fortnightly payroll, preferably within an education environment.
Effective interpersonal relationships with staff.
Demonstrated consistency and high degree of accuracy.
Ability to display initiative in the performance of duties.
Sound knowledge of customer service principles and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Highly developed computer literacy skills.
Hold a Working with Children Blue Card or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
This is a permanent part-time role (30 hours per fortnight).
