We are looking for a Salon Manager to join our brand new team in the heart of Fortitude Valley. Opening at the start of April, our newest location will be opening just off James Street on Ada Lane. If you have management experience in any field and are interested in the hair industry this role is for you.
Day to day reception duties, including communication via phone, email, social media
Organise and coordinate all things clients related (bookings, follow-ups and after service follow-ups, online/social media bookings, appointment confirmations, cancellations, no-shows, quotes, sales, admin, etc) Reminder calls/SMS completed daily. Very important to eliminate no shows
Welcoming clients to the salon and seating them whilst they await their appointment.
Manage and optimise the coordination and planning of our salon and team. The synergy of clients and stylists. Direct stylists in appointments (inform them of which client is next and what service, etc)
Be aware of where the stylist is up to, guide them in staying on time and direct salon traffic accordingly.
Client data collection. Update existing client details. Check if they are a new client, they must fill out a new client form upon arrival.
Extract client cards for stylist if necessary
REBOOKING: in accordance with salon policy and procedures. Ensure the clients next appointment is rebooked before they leave. Every client must be asked to rebook. Ideally, clients will be rebooked during their style finish, whilst they are still in their seat using the iPad.
Keep the reception area tidy and organised and functional
Participate in-salon promotions, eg new client/birthday letters, monthly promos, retail promos, mail outs, lucky car spots
All P.O.S. activities
Load and sell gift cards appropriately, including proper tracking
Follow up with stylists daily duties and ensure they are complete: daily sales sheets, client detailed histories and notes.
Update client histories/notes where stylists need assistance.
Salon KPI management
Salon report Management (finance, leave reconciliation etc)
